What is Swinburne Foundation Year?

The Swinburne Foundation Year is a pre-university programme designed to facilitate a seamless transition into university life by enhancing study and learning capabilities. This programme not only ensures that you meet the entry prerequisites for your chosen course but also succeed in higher studies.

The curriculum includes a broad spectrum, providing students with an overall understanding of business, engineering, and IT. The aim is to empower students with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions about their future degrees upon the completion of the foundation year. Furthermore, the foundation places a strong emphasis on cultivating essential soft skills and language development,

Upon successful completion of the Swinburne Foundation Year, students gain eligibility for enrollment into the preferred degree at Swinburne, provided the entry criteria and prerequisites are met.

For those not opting for immediate transfer into a bachelor's programme, Swinburne offers the option to continue studies locally through the UniLink Diploma programmes available at NCHS. This allows students to seamlessly progress into the first or second year of a Swinburne bachelor's degree.
