If you have excelled in academics, sports or demonstrate leadership skills, NCHS is proud to offer scholarships of up to 70% for your tenure in Sri Lanka. When transferring to partner universities, additional scholarships are available depending on the student’s GPA and the selected university. Other benefits and rewards such as early bird fee waivers, free air fare and accommodation are also available according to special offers in effect at the time of application.

Academic Scholarships
Scholarship for students with exceptional O/Level and A/Level results.
Eligibility
- Minimum 8 ‘A’ passes at O/Levels (Local) and at least 2 ‘A’ + 1 ‘B’ at A/Levels (Local)
- OR 8 ‘A*’ passes at O/Levels (London) and 4 ‘A*’ + 4 ‘A’ passes at A/Levels (London )
- Open to students enrolling in NCHS foundation or diploma programmes
- Must meet English language requirements
Conditions & Duration
- Background checks by the Scholarship Committee
- Applicable towards course fees or amenity/registration fees. Only one discount option may be applied per student.
- Valid for the 1st semester; renewable for the 2nd if the student maintains a minimum 70% average
Athletic Scholarships
Scholarship for students with proven sporting achievements.
Eligibility
- Recognised athletic achievements at school, district, or national level
- Must intend to pursue overseas higher education through NCHS
- Must meet academic and English language requirements

Head Prefect’s Scholarship
Scholarship for students who have served as Head Prefect, honouring their leadership and commitment..
Eligibility
- Must have served as Head Prefect at their school
- Must meet academic and English language requirements

How to Apply
- You must submit the scholarship application at least two weeks before the semester commencement to allow sufficient time for processing.
- Provide the following documents to the NCHS Enrollment Department or email scholarships@nchs.edu.lk

- Academic transcripts (O/Level, A/Level, or equivalent)
- Supporting documents (e.g., athletic certificates, prefect appointment letters, extracurricular records)
- Sit for the NCHS Excellence Scholarship Test
- Receive your scholarship within 5 working days
Selection Process
- Submission of applications by the candidates.
- Please see How to Apply section for the required documents and methods of applying.
- Aptitude Test
- All students are required to sit for an aptitude test administered at the NCHS campus.
- Two separate aptitude tests will be conducted for those applying to follow the Foundation Year and the UniLink Diploma.
- Interview with the Selection Committee
- Shortlisted applicants and their parent/s or guardian/s will be invited for an interview at the NCHS campus.
- Announcement of Scholarship Awards
- The final applicants selected are informed of the scholarship awards.
Scholarship Criteria and Approval
- Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, extracurricular achievements, and leadership qualities.
- Allocations are made based on individual excellence, not the course selected.
- A limited number of scholarships are available each semester.
- All recommendations are reviewed by the NCHS Excellence Scholarship Committee and approved by the NCHS Board of Directors.
Swinburne International Scholarship
This merit-based scholarship is available exclusively to NCHS students commencing their studies in 2026 at Swinburne University of Technology, Hawthorn campus, Australia.
Eligible Programs :
- Swinburne Foundation Program
- UniLink Diploma Program
Scholarship Value : Students who meet the eligibility criteria will receive a 20% tuition fee reduction for the entire standard course duration. The scholarship is applied from the official course start date to the course end date as stated in your Letter of Offer.

This merit-based scholarship is available exclusively to NCHS students commencing their studies in 2026 at Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak Campus, Malaysia.

Scholarship Value : Students who meet the eligibility criteria will receive a 10% tuition fee reduction for the entire standard course duration. The scholarship is applied from the official course start date to the course end date as stated in your Letter of Offer.

This merit-based scholarship is available to NCHS students, based on academic achievement and other qualifications determined by the admissions committee.
Scholarship Value : Students who meet the eligibility criteria can receive up to USD 9,500 per year. The scholarship is renewable, provided the student maintains the required grade point average.

This merit-based scholarship is available exclusively to NCHS students who are transferring to California State University, Northridge, in California, United States.
